Oraimo is a smart premium, mobile accessories brand, and an important part of the Transsion family. It is a Technology based smart accessory company that was founded in May 2013. This company is based in Dubai, producing accessories ranging from watches to Audio devices, and even car accessories
From the very beginning, the team and founders wanted to do something different and unique, such that can change life and living for humanity. On the basis of this, humans can explore the wonderful world. To change the world, they decided to start with what they called smart accessories, made available for users to keep exploring.
Their products are smartly designed to improve efficiency in communications, productivity and ease of use. Their products are already extremely popular in several international markets as they are quite trendy.
Let's go into their History a bit.
Transsion Holdings is a manufacturer of mobile phones based in Shenzhen, China. It was the largest smart phone manufacturer by sales in Africa in 2017. Its brands include phone brands Tecno, ITel and Infinix, after-sales service brand Carlcare, and accessories brand Oraimo. Oraimo is in an exclusive global partnership with iTel Mobile, Infinix Mobile and Tecno Mobile.
Transsion Holdings Pvt Ltd was founded as Transsion Technology in Hong Kong in 2006, with a focus on the development, manufacturing, sales, and services of mobile communication products. Transsion entered the African market with its Tecno and ITel brands, and started focusing on the African market in July 2008, initially with feature phones. Transsion released its first smart phone in 2014.
Transsion set up its Nigerian subsidiary in June 2008, and had subsidiaries in seven countries in Africa by October. The market share of Transsion smart phone brands in Africa combined surpassed that of Samsung in 2017, making Transsion the largest manufacturer of smartphones for the African market in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Oraimo is a Transsion holdings brand that has been very intentional about pushing out its products very recently. The brand has partnered with influencers and celebrities to warm its way into the hearts of Nigerian consumers who are already heavy users of their sister-brand products – Tecno, Infinix, iTel and so on.
Oraimo has been around since 2013, making in-box accessories for Tecno, iTel and Infinix smart phones. Today, Oraimo is now marketed as a standalone accessory brand that it is. This wasn't until recent years after which most mobile phones didn't include accessories in their phones anymore including phones from Transsion brands.
Despite being around since 2013, it was not until 2017/2018 that Oraimo became popular. Now you would see Oraimo banners in shops and phone retail outlets around the country. Oraimo specializes in designing, manufacturing and selling consumer electronics products.
They offer a wide range of affordable accessories ranging from Smart watch, Bluetooth headsets of different types, power banks, Bluetooth speakers, fitness bands and more. The company is currently working with 2baba on a successful partnership. This collaboration has also strengthened their position in the Nigerian market, as fans of the legendary music crooner were quick to take notice of the brand.
The brand seeks to maintain the undefeated title as the premium mobile accessory brand in Nigeria, and with the introduction of the Oraimo Watch and many more smart accessories in the works, there is no limit to its user-friendly innovation. When you desire communication and listening, Oraimo produces top quality earphones with premium sound and bass.

Oraimo Freepods and Air buds Review.
Oraimo Freepods 2.
Oraimo recently came out with their new true wireless earbuds – the Freepods 2. The Freepods 2 is a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) ear bud and is attempting to compete with the long list of other products like Air pod, Galaxy buds, and so on. And today, Oraimo has produced 2 versions of their Freepods 2 earbuds, they include;
* Freepods 2 2Baba version.
* Freepods 2 Pro.
* Freepods 2 2Baba version.
The lightweight design of the Oraimo Freepods 2 makes this hassle go away as it fits right in the ears and unless you are playing something, you can barely feel its there. These freepods 2 are your typical stem-style earbuds. They come enclosed in an air pods-looking case that also charges them when they are run low on battery.
A great feature for great earbuds that the Freepods smashed is their perfect ear fit and comfort. They are absolutely perfect for your workout sessions as they fit very well in the ear and are snug and light enough to use. They are also sweat proof and comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time.
This is one of the best feature is this half in-ear ear bud. One feature that anyone using whether full in-ear earbuds or half in-ear earbuds like the Freepods 2 would really want is the comfortability/fit aspect. The Oraimo Freepods 2 2Baba version gives you the assurance that it won’t fall off in the middle of say workout or in the midst of a rushing crowd.
They are held in place in the grooves with magnets. They can come in either the black or the white color. The ones in black have a black and gold finish. They even have Nigerian musician 2baba’s [formerly known as 2face Idibia] signature and a “one love” tagline under it.
The Freepods has a mic that works for calls, positioned at the bottom of the stems for optimal voice pickup. The case is also light and easy to carry about, especially if you are always on the move and you need your audio accessory at all times. So in terms of design and build, the Oraimo freepods 2 hit the nail on the head.
Oraimo freepods 2 come with touch controls on both earbuds with multiple functions such as tapping twice on either to play or pause. Tapping once or twice to answer or end a call. To increase the volume, you tap thrice and to skip to the next track, you tap and hold for a second.
They also connect quickly with devices. When setting up, you have to tap and hold the earbuds for a few seconds to turn them on the first time. This sets them up on a pairing mode. Once they are connected to your device, that’s the end. This means that once they are removed from the case, they will instantly connect to your phone or laptop.
One issue though is that the earbuds might remain connected even after you put them in the case, so you might have to manually disconnect. In terms of sound quality, they are pretty decent and above average. There’s a 13mm dynamic driver that powers the earbuds.
They can get loud with a little bass for you to enjoy if that’s your preference. You will definitely enjoy listening to music, podcasts, videos, gaming or online meetings. However, the freepods 2 don’t have the widest sound stage or the clearest frequency separation for listening to music.
It is possible to wear them around the house without fear of disconnection as they have good connectivity. One feature they are missing is ANC (auto noise cancellation). They use passive noise from whatever is playing to cancel outside noise.
The case provides up to 6 full charges before it runs out and so it is important that keep the case charged. There are three LED indicators to let you know how far they have charged up. Battery levels will be indicated on the earbuds Bluetooth setting on the device you are listening from.
Like mentioned earlier, the Oraimo Freepods 2 are light, nicely designed and ergonomic with decent sound across all sorts of music and can used for various activities for a long time. If you are just trying out wireless earbuds without the need to leave your pocket high and dry, then you can consider the Oraimo Freepods 2 – they will likely suit you.

Oraimo Air buds.
Oraimo Air buds brings you sleek and stylish earphones. With a ear-canal style in-ear design you get to upgrade your ears with its smooth sound and pitched bass for an exciting audio experience. There is no doubt that you will get solid value for your money on the Oraimo Air buds.
The Oraimo Air buds come in a glossy black encased within a matte-like black case. The case itself acts as the charger for the earbuds with 500mAh of battery, while each of the ear pieces have a battery of 50mAh in them so you get to enjoy X5 full extra charge.
This Air bud comes with up to 100 hours of standby time along with 6 hours of play time. The carrying case comes with charging for the Air buds. It comes with 24 hours of battery life provided with the charging case. Pulling out the Air buds from the case turns them on and you can then pair them with your smart phone.
Once the Air buds have been paired with a device, the experience becomes very seamless. Next time all you need to do is to just turn on the Bluetooth on your smart phone, pull out the Air buds, put them in your ears, and you are good to go. The earhooks on the buds are small and don’t offer much grip when put into the ear.
The Air buds themselves are small but thankfully have replaceable ear tips. So those with larger ears can slip on a pair of larger ear tips on the ear pieces to get a snug fit. The Oraimo Air buds has a great sound great considering how budget-friendly they are. There is also support for HD audio AAC codecs here and that’s a bonus.
The Air buds are heavy on bass. The lows are more pronounced than the highs and the mids and while the bass you get is impactful and you will feel the ‘thump’. It isn’t the deepest bass, but vocals manage to hold their own. However, with that being said, these are a truly special pair and have to be heard to be appreciated.
The Oraimo Air buds offer an affordable solution to anybody who wants to enter the world of truly wireless audio. Whether you don’t want to shell out big bucks for costlier buds, or if you just want to get the hang of truly wireless earbuds before you invest in something more expensive, these are a pretty great option.
